Badminton
Sunday 2 August saw two teams from Wanganui travel to Ohakune for A Reserve interclub games. Games were hard with a lot of them going through to setting. Ohakune 2 lost to Gonville 2 overall three games to five. Ohakune 2 won against Gonville 1 five games to three. Ohakune 1 won both their rounds six games to two. Thanks went to Simon for filling in, as well as thanks to the supporters who turned up to help. Results for D Grade residentials held in Wanganui 26 July:
Donna Cranston singles champion; Eileen Voon singles runner-up, Sarah Lind runner-up plate round; Andre Moore singles champion; Lindsay Cast singles runner-up; Donna and Eileen ladies doubles champions, Andre and Lindsay men's doubles champions, Lindsay and Eileen combines champions; Andre and Donna combines runner-up. Ohakune's D Grade did very well in Wanganui. They played all ages. (D Grade doesn't mean just the kids), they did well to clean sweep the round and indeed the whole D Grade.
