Raetihi Info Centre one year old

BY

RIC

The Raetihi Information Centre has been going 12 months and during this time they have had approximately 2,000 visitors. On 6 August, to celebrate their first birthday, the volunteers are having a shop-day between 10am and 4pm. People calling into the shop-day will be offered a free cup of coffee and a piece of birthday cake. Raetihi Promotions Group president John Dobson said he is very pleased with the way the first year for the Information Centre has gone. He thanked the committee and the people of Raetihi for their enthusiasm. "This sort of enthusiasm can only spell out that Raetihi is on the move, he said. The promotion group is considering holding another market day this year with a 'grand auction'. Also planned is a walkway through scenic country on the outskirts of town. John invites anyone who has good ideas and a bit of time to spare to contact a committee member of the promotions group.
