Great response for Raetihi elections

Raetihi School s Board of Trustee elections drew an amazing response, said principal Neil Hammond, with 16 candidates for the 5 places, and 237 voters out of a possible 338. Mr Hammond said he believed the response was a positive indication of the support for the school among parents and the community. He expressed thanks to all candidates for putting their names forward, and thanked Janet Scarrow for her help in running the election. "I wish we could have all 16 people on the board of trustees," said Mr Hammond.
