Rail visit

Three hundred railway enthusiasts from Auckland are expected in Ohakune on Saturday 25 July. The trip is being organised by the Railway Enthusiasts Society of Auckland and will be using the Glenbrook Vintage Rail rolling stock hauled by a diesel engine. They will be arriving mid-morning and retuming to Auckland late Saturday afternoon. During the six hours

the train will be in Ohakune passengers will undertake a number of sightseeing excursions within the Waimarino area. The Railway Enthusiasts Society have offered Main Truck Rail Ohakune use of that train for six hours and MTRO would like to know if there is any interest in the community for a trip, say to Taumarunui and back. If you are interested please phone Bob Norling at 3858-700.
