Car attack

• On Sunday 24 May my car was parked in the main street of Raetihi. While parked three teenage boys set upon it and as a result $1,500 worth of damage was done. This was reported to the police who said all he could do was to ask for some compensation, that one of the teenagers was having a family court. Where does all this mindless destruction end? It's about time small communities like Raetihi and Ohakune did something to help the police. They can not be everywhere in such a large district. I'm new to the area and everyone I've met has been friendly towards myself and fellow visitors, but these few bad ones ruin it for everyone, so it's about time the parents too k responsibility for their children' s actions.
