The Raetihi Information Centre has won $450 worth of free advertising from Telecom. The centre has had over 1100 visitors pass through its doors from August 1991 to March 1992. Book exchange and displays are available. The present display being of Mrs Maggie Rawiri's homespun hand knitting. The centre volunteers are arranging a batons-
up evening to be held 21 May at 7pm at the Waimarino club hall, Seddon Street Raetihi. The proceeds are to go towards the reprinting of old Raetihi photos, mounted in an album for display at the information centre. The centre is accepting non-perishable goods or handcrafts for prizes, which can be left at the information centre.
