f The second road on the right past Mangakahu Road junction on Ngakonui Ongarue Road when travelling north be named Beards Road. g The service tane leading off Marae Street, adjacent to the Taumarunui Hotel Bottlestore, heading east, terminating at the rear of the Ruapehu District Council, Manuaute Street Office be named Kydd Lane. h The service lane leading off Hikaia Street, adjacent to King Country Motors car saies yard, leading west, terminating at the carpark at the rear of the Arcade be named Hayes Lane. i The section of State Highway 4 between the Railway Overbridge at Taumarunui and the Wanganui River Bridge at Matapuna be named Main South Highway, j The metal road at Piriaka opposite Tanga Road which runs off State Highway 4 and loops around to rejoin State Highway 4 be named Ruruku Road. Copies of the resolution to be confirmed are deposited at Council Offices and Libraries in Taumarunui, Ohakune, and Raetihi and are open for inspection by the public during the normal opening hours of those Offices and Libraries. RESOURCE MANAGEMENT ACT 1991 PUBLIC NOTICE OF SUBMISSIONS RECEIVED TO PROPOSED CHANGE NO. 91/3 TO THE RUAPEHU DISTRICT PLAN On 10 December 1991 the Ruapehu District Council notified Proposed Change No. 91/3 to the Ruapehu District Plan. The Proposed Change is to amend the requirements of the Plan which relate to the erection of signs. The existing District Schemes which make up the Ruapehu District Plan contain a variety of provisions for the erection of signs. The inconsistencies in these existing provisions are undesirable and for this reason it is proposed that a change be made to the District Plan so that a consistent set of rules and provisions apply to the whole District. Pursuant to Clause 7 of the First Schedule to the Resource Management Act 1991, below is a summary of all submissions received on Proposed Change No. 91/3. NAME: SUBMISSION Manawatu Wanganui - request that Regional Council resource consent signs be allowed as of right. Transit New Zealand - oppose the Proposed Change in its present form and request tighter controls on signage adjacent to State Highways. L & B Bruce - in opposition to certain provisions of the Proposed Change, particularly provisions for portable signs and also in opposition to the proposal to allow "one sign on each main road approach per business". The Proposed Change and the above submissions may be inspected at the Council Offices at Manuaute Street, Taumarunui, Miro Street, Ohakune and Seddon Street, Raetihi during normal office hours. Forms for cross submissions are available at any of the above Council offices. Cross submissions to the above submissions may be made by any body or person and are to be lodged at the office of the Council no later than 4.00pm on 20 May 1992.
