/■ 18P SPECIAL ORDER: ROAD NAMES Public notice is hereby given that at its meeting held on 3 April 1992 the Council resolved by way of Special Order pursuant to Section 716B of the Local Government Act 1974 to rename or name some roads in the District. The Special Order will be submitted for a confirming resolution at the next Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Huia Street, Taumarunui on Friday 15 May 1992 commencing at 11.00am. The purport of the Special Order resolution is to rename or name the following roads: 1 RENAMED ROADS a The revoked section of State Highway 49 between Raetihi and Ohakune, called Pipiriki Waiouru Road, be renamed Raetihi Ohakune Road. b The revoked Section of State Highway 40 called Tongaporutu-Mangaroa Road east of Tongaporutu Road Junction at Ohura be renamed Waitaanga Road within the Ruapehu District. c The revoked Section of State Highway 43, called Ohura Road, between the River Road Junction and the junction of the former State Highway 40 at Ohura be renamed Mangapara Road. d The section of road called Pukerima Road, starting from State Highway 4 at Raurimu and heading west to the start of Kaitieke Road be renamed Kaitieke Road. e The section of road starting from State Highway 4 at Raurimu heading east through the township across the rail line to the end of the maintained section be renamed Raurimu Road. f The road called Waimiha Ongarue Road starting at State Highway 4 near Ongarue and heading towards Waimiha ending at the railway line at Waimiha be renamed Ongarue Waimiha Road. g The road called Waimiha Road and being the next road on the right past the Ongarue Stream Road when travelling towards Mangapehi from Waimiha be renamed Waimiha Valley Road. h The section of road transferred from the Waitomo District to the Ruapehu District at the date of the Local Government Re-organisation in 1989 and which is an extension of Takiri Road be renamed Takiri Road so that the whole length of the road in the Ruapehu District has the same name. i The road called Waimiha-Mangapehi Road, starting from the railway line at Waimiha heading to Mangapehi be renamed Poro-O-Tarao Road. j The road at Ongarue presently called Ohura Road be renamed Ongarue Street. k The metal road at Matiere, presently called Ohura Road, be renamed Pleasants Road. 1 The road named Ohura Road near Raetihi be renamed Orautoha Road. m The road correctly named as Ruapehu Street in Ohakune be renamed Ruapehu Road as it is commonly known. 2 NAME UNNAMED ROADS a The road at Raurimu starting at the North Island Main Trunk Railway Line (at the junction with the road proposed to be named Raurimu Road) and leading to the top of the hill adjacent to the Raurimu spiral railway tunnels be named Top Mill Road. b The road at Raurimu leading to the Old Raurimu Domain be named Domain Road. c The road at Raurimu leading from the road into Raurimu (proposed to be named Raurimu Road) and running between the former school and the railway line be named School Road. d The unnamed road at National Park off Millar Street be named Tongariro Place. e The road next on the right past Mangakahu Road junction on Ngakonui . Ongarue Road when travelling north, be named Otataka Road.
