Power inspection changes soon

Changes to electrical wiring regulations will bring major changes in King Country Energy's area when implemented from June 1, the board has been told. Advice has been received that responsibility for inspecting electrical work will then pass from the board to

the Ruapehu and Taupo District Councils, under the new Building Act. King Country Energy's directors are keen to offer the services of its inspectors to the Ruapehu District Council on a contract basis. Seven of its staff are presently licensed as inspectors.
