Pony Club news
At the recent Waimarino Pony Club meeting matters discussed included the Waimarino Pony Club horsemastership quiz to be held in August at the Lions Den Ohakune. The WPC will also be hosting the King Country quiz on the 31 August again at the Lions Den with a pot luck tea before hand. Branch teams will be selected after the
Waimarino quiz to compete at the King Country Quiz. Raetihi Branch will be out to defend their title which they have held for three years. Events coming up: Waimarino Quiz 24 August, King Country Quiz 31 August, Waimarino Dressage Day 2 November, Waimarino Gamblers 3 November, Waimarino Games 30 November, Waimarino Gymkhana 14 December, Ohakune Adult Gymkhana 15 December. Another riding course with a national instructor was discussed but at this stage support is limited, so a course may be held at a later date. A working bee at Rokes property, to upgrade the X-Country fences may be held during the August holidays. January will see more PC certificates being sat including C,C+ and B.
