Seniors' day out

The Ohakune Senior Citizens' Club went on a pleasure trip to Wanganui last week, with some members shopping on arrival and some taking a paddle steamer ride to Holly Lodge. The rest travelled by bus to the lodge. Club members found the boat trip most enjoyable with the captain pointing out places of interest and the results of last year's floods. The lodge visit consisted of a tour of the vineyard and winery, the museum and then lunch. A tour of the woollen mills followed. The day was wellpicked with perfect weather and an enjoyable day was had by all. The club meets first Wednesday of the month at 1 .30pm - at the Arawa St Lion's Den.
