Chalet burglaries A number of ski chalets have been burgled in recent weeks. A Goldfinch Street, Ohakune property was broken into 14-15 April and a microwave stolen. The thieves entered after breaking a window at the rear of the property. The microwave was recovered hidden in bushes at the back of the section. Three chalets in Mangawhero Terrace were found to to have been burgled on 17 April. Police are still waiting to hear from the owners as to what property, if any, was taken. On 20 April a chalet in Park Avenue, Ohakune, was burgled.
