Wasps a problem for council
Wasp nests are not the council's problem but they should be helping the community battle the beast. That is the view of Ruapehu Mayor Garrick Workman. He floated the idea of the council becoming more involved in dealing with
the wasp problem at the last Waimarino Community Board meeting. Council officers did not have the time to deal with wasp nests, the board heard, but the idea of helping mount a volunteer campaign was discussed.
