Whakapapa water right
Ruapehu Alpine Lifts have been granted a water right to improve their waste treatment systems by installing a large septic tank, followed by sand filtration before disposal into soakage pits. The soakage will be in coarse sand and scoria and tests carried out by Regional Council staff have indicated that this method of disposal will work effectively.
