Raetihi ewe sale
Raetihi s district ewe sale was held at Raetihi last week, the first since the Wool Board changed its floor price policy. 8000 ewes were offered in the sale which saw a disappointing overall quality with only a few top lines offered. With killing interests buying strong the sale result was reasonable. A pen of well-presented Perrendale four and five year old sheep raised the top price of $20.10 and the best of the Romney ewes sold for between $15.70 and $18.60.
