Ruapehu Slogan
"Ruapehu - Where Adventures Begin" is to be the tourism promotion slogan for the district. The new tourism subcommittee discussed the need for a slogan at their first meeting last week and decided to adopt the slogan, subject to the
approval of Ohakune and Raetihi people. The present Ohakune slogan includes the phrase "where adventures begin". Those at the public promotions meeting last week approved of the adoption of the sign.
