Air Reunion

In 1941, the Air Training Corps was formed for the purpose of providing initial training to young men to help them fit quickly into the Royal Air Force as soon as they were old enough to join up and thus assist the war effort at the time. After the war the Corps continued to train young men )and in more recent years, young women) in the basic skills of the services and in particular, the Air Force. Today it continues as one of this country's strong and dedicated youth organisations with 50 active squadrons spread throughout New Zealand. Now, 49 years later, a committee has been formed to organise the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Air Training Corps in 1991. We are sure that, of the many thousands of ex cadets and officers still living in New Zealand, quite a number will be keen to be involved in the celebrations. A national registration secretary has been appointed and he would like to hear from past ATC members. For further information on the celebrations, please write to:Flying Officer Neil West, 12 Patrick Place, Fitzroy, Hamilton.
