River hut site cleared

The old John Coull hut site has been stripped of all structures and planting work undertaken following the removal of the hut from the urupa (burial site). A carpenter has resumed work on restoring the hut at its new site one kilometre upstream, after a delay caused by the breakdown of one of the Department of Conservation jet boats plus more urgent carpentry projects. The new hut site should be blessed and the hut reopened by summer.
