Bridge club officers elected

Ohakune Bridge Club members held there annual gcneral meeting rccently and elected thcir new officers. They are president Betty Hammond (58 041), Secretary Gordon Mottram (58 920), Director Bob Tumataroa, committee members, Les Burns and Tracy Ennis. The bridge club is to start a new membership drive soon, with frce lessons on how to play the card game. These lessons will be held either in the homes of the experienced playcrs taking them, or in the new, player's home. The aim of this change from the old group lesson system is to provide a more friendly, relaxed atmosphere, said club secretary Gordon Mottram. Later in the year the club will run its annual tournament and there will be club visits to Wanganui, Taihape, Taupo, Turangi and Taumarunui.
