Opening golf

The Waimarino Ladics Golf Club opening began with greensome foursomes last week. Winners were Allison Barrett and Pixie Chambcrs and runners up were Francie Geraghty and Jan Mathews. Twos were scored by Allison and Pixie and the raffle won by B Anderson. Sunday 4 March was club foursomes. Winners were B Berridge and N Winter with 71 nett. Runners up, A Pritt and B Dempsey 71.5 nett. Raffle, G Fraser. The Captain's Trophy was played on 7 March with stableford winners: senior, A Summerhays, 46 pts; junior P Chambers 39 pts. The raffle won by V Parkes. Three recorded by V Parkes. Summer Eclectics winner, P Mclroy. Tommorrow, Wednesday 14 March, is Spalding Day, with-a $5 entry fee.
