REDS MAN RED FACED

Here's a story that's been sitting on the shelf for a while (probably maturing). Raetihi wine buff and number-cruncher Andrew and his colleagues were wining and dining some accountant friends from Wanganui during the winter and, the group having chosen an Ohakune BYO, our man offered to supply the plonk as he has more than a small interest in The Best Little Wine Shop In The Country. Arriving at the restaurant however, a sharp eyed wine detective spotted a discrepancy in the paper bags and the price tags and blew his cover. He'd remembered his taste buds but not his keys so his favourite reds stayed on the shelf while the local hotel made a rather rare sale from their bottle store.
