WAIOURU CEMETERY NOW OCCUPIED

Waiouru's cemetery is now in use with the second burial there held last Thursday. Lieutenant Colonel Clive Sinclair said the cemetery is being developed with work on the road and kerb work under way. He said the cemetery has been vacant for over a year since it was set up. Lt Col Sinclair said many people will now elect to be buried, when their time comes, at the cemetery rather than at Taihape or Ohakune.
