A party of military officers from Britain visited Waiouru last week. General Sir Richard Vincent K.C.B.D.C.O, the Vice Chief of Defence Staff for the United Kingdom and his wife Lady Jean Vincent, arrived in Waiouru last Tuesday along with their entourage, consisting of Wing Commander R.J. Sharpe RAF, Wing Commander C.L. Whitaker RAF, Captain M.G. Williams RHA, Captain Matthews RN, and Mrs Matthews. A formal dinner was held for the party on Tuesday night at the Waiouru Officers' Mess, and Wednesday morning at 8.30am a 50-man guard was provided by all A.T.G. units. Colonel Maguire ac-

companied General Sire Richard Vincent for the inspection of the guard. The ladies of the party were taken to Titoki Point Gardens on

Wednesday morning while the officers were shown around the Army Training Area for familiarisation, and then taken to the Army Museum.
