RAETIHI HOUSE DAMAGED BY FIRE
Raetihi volunteer firemen were called out to a house fire in Grey Street at 1.36pm on Wednesday. The fire was contained within the porch, kitchen and roof eaves and smoke damage was suffered in the kitchen and living area. Firemen said the fire was well alight when they arrived but they managed to save a lot of the house. Two appliances attended the fire with the last one leaving at 3.50pm.
