MORE AIR TIME FOR RUAPEHU'S RADIO
Ruapehu's radio station Ski FM has extended their station hours. From last Monday they have been broadcasting from 7 00 till 11.00am and 12pm to 7pm weekdays and from 7am to 8pm weekends. Station manager John Campbell said the decision was made due to popular demand and to utilise the "talents of this year's on-air team to the maximum advantage". The mid-week, mid-day hour break is necessary for commercial production, he said. Mr Campbell said the station welcomes music request line calls on (0658) 59979. He said Ski FM also offers free community service broadcast time for any non-profit organisation in the area. 97.9FM is Ski FM's frequency on the Turoa side of the mountain and 93.9FM on the Whakapapa side.
