TRUSTEES SET TO WORK

School boards of trustees are now up and running in the Waimarino with trustees now attending training sessions, setting meeting structures and working on school charters. Ohakune school announced recently that they had appointed a chairman, Brian Wilson and coopted four people to the board. They are Korty Wilson and Keith Wood who have been appointed to serve the full term, Harry Cast (until 1 February 1990) and Jill Smith (until 1 October 1989). The Ohakune BoT meets on the 3rd Thursday each month and meetings are open to the public. Committee meetings include liaison, finance, curriculum and works. Two Waimarino Sdhools, Rangataua and Orautoha, are to hold by-elections next month to replace trustees who have resigned.
