ELECTION NOMINATIONS CLOSE IN FIVE WORKING DAYS
Next Friday is the closing day for nominations of candidates for Ruapehu District Council elections, Area Health Board elections and community board elections. It is also your last chance to check that your name is on the electoral roll, which ensures your right to vote. Ruapehu District general manager Cliff Houston has strongly urged residents of the new district to check to see that their names are on the roll. The roll can be inspected in the Waimarino and Waiouru at the Waimarino District Council offices in Miro Street, Ohakune and Seddon Street Raetihi; Parklands Service Station in National Park; Army Garrison Institute in the Waiouru military camp; and at New Zealand Post offices in Clyde Street Ohakune and Ballance Road Waiouru.
