TOKAANU HOT POOLS LEASE GOES OFF THE BOIL
A call for tenders for the sale of the Tokaanu Hot Pools failed to produce any suitable offers, so the Department of Conservation have set aside plans to lease the complex. Meanwhile, legal investigations are underway to find out if the Crown's original acquisition agreement allow for the land to be leased. A DoC representative has said the pools will continue to be operated as they are.
