Trustbank staying open

Raetihi's Trustbank Central branch is not going to close. Bank Manager Aubry Dodd told the Bulletin last week that rumours rife in Raetihi that the

branch is to close are unfounded. "The opposite is the case," said Mr Dodd. "We are increasing our services if anything." He said the bank is installing a cashline

.nachine at the Starline Services garage and that a senior staff member is to be in Raetihi twice a week to answer customer's queries about the bank's services.

Mr Dodd said the branch was like any other business in that if it was not supported it would not be financially viable and in that case might close. "There are no plans for Trustbank to move out of Raetihi," said Mr Dodd.
