THE DAIRYING INDUSTRY,

The butter factory is expected to commence operations on the first of next month. All the machinery is now on the spot, and when put in place, work Avill 1 -umeneed. Peach trlees are shoAving abundance of bloom, also pears and plums. Weather permitting there should be good crops again. Winter spraying has about come to an end for this season as the buds on all trees are becoming too forward for winter formula washes. ROADS. Our roads have had a severer test this winter than ever before. It shows signs of progress in the way of business, but if industries develop as they should, the means to keep the roads up (to carry products of these industries) must be forthcoming or they 4 will surely go back on us. I notice Riding members and Road Boards are calling for tenders for road work, and metalling early so as to get work when done consolidated before next wet
