Ahuroa.

A meeting of the Ahuroa Road Board took place on Octob r 29. Present Messrs Martin, Taylor, A. Woodcock jnr., C. 0. Woodcock and W. L, Sanderson, chairman.

The minutes of last mcc ing- read and conlirmed. Accounts amounting to £18 Us. were authorised to be paid on the motion of the chairman, seconded by Mr. Martin. Mr. A, E. Dunningham applied to have the bush fallen on the road fronting sections 78 and 79, also from My. A. W. Sanderson's on the road fronting section 80. Proposed by Mr. Martin, seconded by Mr. A. Woodcock and carried, that the Board offer them £1 ss. per acre to fell and grass the road, this be^ng the usual rate on unused roads, Proposed by Mr. A. Woodcock that tenders be called for oleai-ing the slopes on the road from the Onehunga bridge to the head of the valley, seconded by Mi", Tavlor and carried

Proposed by Mr. A, Woodcock, that Messrs Taylor and Sanderson draw up specifications for improvements on the fichoql- road, seconde 1 by Mr. Martin and carried. Proposed by the chairman, that Mr. A. Woodcock employ a man to fill in the ruts on Ti-tree H 11, seoonded b\ Mr, Martin and carried.
