I'mss Assn. —
wanganella buoyant. NOW DRAWING 25 FEEf FORWARD
■By Telegranh — Copyright.)
WELLINGTON, Last Night. It will not be necessary to take the Wanganella to the berth at Clyde Quay for further work bel'ore she is put into the floating dock, as the draught of the vessel has been reduced sufficiently to allow her to float on to the dock without any trouble. ■ "The ship is drawing 24 feet 11 inches forward, and 19 feet three inches aft," said Mr. J. Dilworth, consulting engineer on the salvage c-peration. "We have taken all the . lift off her and are perfectly h-appy about her present position. "The draught is sufficiently low to allow her to float on to the dock and there is no chance of any projecting plates from her bottom causing any obstruction. The divers on the job have ascertained this by examining the underside of the ship."
