FOUR MONTHS' GAOL FOR TWO ASSAULTS
An assault on a youth, Roy Wafren Diseombe, and the licensee of the Oommercial Hotel, Douglas Westland Garland, led to the appearance' of Charles Shelford, a Maori, aged 27; r 'a Forestry Department employee, of Mamaku, at the Tauranga Police Court. Accused, who appeared on two charges of assault, pleaded -gui^y to both and he was sentence.d to two months' impriso-nment, with hard labour, on each charge, the sentences to be cumulative.
