J FORCE HAS OWN BROADCAST

CHOFU, Feb. 12. For the first time since the 2nd N.Z'.E.F. began its service seven years ago, New Zealand has its own broadcasting station. Station W.L.K.W. at Yamaguchi is now on the air, providing- daily programmes of news and entertainment. Officially opened by Brigadier L. Pctter, Commander of the 2nd N.-Z.E.F. in Japan, recorded speeche's by Sir Bernard Freyberg and the Commander-in-Chief of the B.C.O.F., Lieutenant-G^ueral H. C. H. Robertson, were broadcast. x^he studio is temporarily installed in the New Zealand Army education centre, but when the concentration of a New Zealand force in the Ozuki area begins, the studio will he egtablished .permanently in that area.
