omcials report that the Aroericans have released Fritz Thyssen, the prewar German industrial magnate, as the result "of the decision not to try him before the war crimes court. The American war crimes tribunal at Nuremberg had held Thyssen as a likely witness in the trial ' -of five German industrialists.
