CHILD BADLY SCALDED IN BATH

PALMERSTON NORTH, last night. An accident in which almost her entire body was severely scaMed was suffered by Valda Pinfold, infant twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Pinfold. 6f Mangamutu, during the weekend. The child entered the bathroom of her home and turned on the hot water tap over the bath. The water, which filled the bath, was almost at boilingpoint. The child apparently leaned over the bath when it had become well filled, and slipped into the water. With the exception of her face and head, the whole of her body was immersed. She was badly sealded. She was taken to the Masterton Publie Hospital where her condition is reported to be extremely serious.
