JAPANESE LABOUR LEADER STABBED

CANBERRA, Jan. 21. An attempt to assassinate one of the most' prominent Japanese labour leaders was made in Tokio yesterday. He is Katsumi Kikunami, President of the National Congress of Industrial Organisations, which is under Ccmmunist influence. He was att'aeked and stabbed at his home by two members of a minor Right Wing party. It will be some weeks before he recovers.
