LONDON, Jan. 20. Further redu(;tions in the strength of the British forces in Germany, Japan and India are sliortly to be made, aceording to military correspondents. A British brigade of approximately 4000 in strength will sliortly be released from service in Gerniany and rejilaced by Norwegians, who will be under the British operational command. The 5th British Brigade, munbering ahout 300'0 men, will also he withdrawn from Japan. Most of the men will continue their service in other overseas stations. Some men of the Cameron Ilighlanders, Royal Welsh Fusiliers and Dorsetshires, will °be eligible to return home. These ' troops are to be re])laced by Australians. Four age_groups are also to be released in the" Indian Army, commencing early this year. Otficers are already heing withdrawn and replaced by Indians, but technical personnel will remain until the Indian replacements have been trained to take over their duties. Consideration will also be given later to l'ethicing the strength of the British military establishments 5 n Greeee, Austria and Italy.
