Andrews Carries Bat Unfinished Innings
The attack of Ngongotaha';'" mainly sustained by D. Garner and P. Lyle, was beaten down by the opening batsmen for Old Boys, E. Andrews and D. J. Ewert, in the first day of the match played at the High School ground on Saturday. Andrews, who performed so creditably behind the stumps against the Auckland Colts' earlier in the week, had the unusual distinction for a No. 1 of carrying his bat for 119, including 18 fours, when the innings was declared witn 233 on for tne loss of four wickets.
