I | Bihar Moslems IJrge More | Safety Measures - NEW DELHI, January 12. Mr. Gandhi in his tour lo cairn communal fceling in Eastern Bengal, will continue to be escorted by armed guards. In reply to his protest that he did not want any pr«tection, the Prime Aliniy'ier of Bengal stated: "The Bengal Government cannot alford to take any risks We must look after his safety." The Working Committee of the Bihar provincial Moslem League has urged more orders to ensure the safety of Aloslems in the province. They asked that meetings of more than 5000 in any oue plaee shoukl be prohibited. They also urged that haif the police should be Moslems, and Moslems should he given permits to carry arms. At a meeting in Lucknow of the United Provinces Legislative Assembly, Moslem League members brought forward the question of the reeent disturbances in Cawnpore, when the nolice had o open tire. They alleged that the Government was iliscriminating against Moslem League supporters there. The educational adviser to the Government of India, has spoken of the plans for universal education in India. He stated that it was proposed 'o spend nearly £1G'0,000,0C'0 in five years on education, and that the country would have 2,5.00,000 teachers within the next 15 years.
