Canterbury In Strong Position
CHRISTCHURCH, last night. At the end of the third days' play in the Pliunlcet 'Shield game between Canterbury and Otago,. Canterbury was in a strong position. When play started, 'Canterbury had scored 62 for four wickets, in reply to Otago's 148 for nine wickets, declared. Canterbury were all out shortly after 5 p.m. for 3G'0. Chief scorers were F. B. Smith 57, and R. H. Scott 86. The wicket dryed out well, and played easily. The Otago attack was keen and the conditions were in favour of the batsmen.
