RODEO HORSES BREAK LOOSE IN TOWN

Unrehearsed Christmas Night ' Entertainment The silence of an otherwise peaceful Christmas night was shattered on j Wednesday at about 10 p.m. by the I drumming of hooves, and the shrill whinnying of horses. Three horses from the "rough ridin' outfit" camped on the shore of the lake broke loose and chased each other around the silent streets of the town. Chief cause of the trouble was a large Roman-nosed horse which chased "Wee Jinny," advertised as the world's tiniest racehorse, around Tutanekai Street and through part of the sleeping residential section of the town near the Primary School. The stallion was accompanied by a tbird performer. Members c-f the rodeo team who tried to bring the three errant horses back to the reserve had narrow escapes from slashing booves when the big fellow lashed out at th'em. The world's tiniest racehorse was returned to her frantic owners and the other animals returned to the fold. The spectators dispersed in the vicinity of 11.30 p.m., satisfied that what had started out to be a silent Christmas night had livened up, after all.
