PRESENTATIONS TO MR. C. C. R. BALLASTON
(F.O.O.C.) A very pleasant eeremony took place at the conclusion of the final rally of the Ngongotaha Trocp of Boy Scouts on Friday night, when District Scoutmaster C. C. R. Dallaston, who is leaving early next year to take a coui'se at Lincoln College. was presented with tv/o parting gifts. The first was made by Cubmaster J'ohn Clayton on behalf c-f the Ngongotaha Scouts and Cubs and the second, hy a deputation from the Rotorua Heddquarters Committee, including Mr. W. J. Woolliams, chairman and Mr. A. J. Campbell, secretary. The impetus which Scouting had been given in the district by the enthnsiasm and example of Mr. Dallaston was ref'erred to by the cliairnian of the Ngongotaha District Committee, Mr. F. J. McLaughlin, tlie Commissioner for Training, Mr. C. Chamhers, and Mr. Woolliams,^ who apologised for the unavoidable absence of the District Commissionei*, Mr. J. F. Thomas and other supporters of the mc-vement in Rotorua. Supper was providod by the ladies.
