TAURANGA HARBOUR REPRESENTATION

County Council Supports Borough View Yesterday a deputation from the Mayor, Mr. P. A. Kusabs, the Town Clerk, Mr. L. J. Wright, and Cr. D. E. Sheaf, waited on the County Council to discuss the report of the chairman of the Tauranga Harbour Board, in which he suggested that the RotoVua area should lose its voice in the affairs of the board. The strongest exception was taken to the proposal by the Borough Council. It was agreed that the two bodies should retain representatives on the Tauranga Harbour Board and the criticism of the municipal representatives was supported by members of the County Coxmcil. It was left to the town clerk and the county clerk to draft a protest against the suggested action. The draft will be submitted to the next meeting of the respec.tive councils.
