ANTARCTIC PROJECT INTERESTS ENGLAND
"For New Zealand To Make An Announcement" LONDON, Dec. 14. On being a'slced to comment on the report from Wellington published in the Daily Mail that the British Government had urged New Zealand tc send an expedition to the Antarctic to reach the Ross Sea dependency before Admiral Byrd, a Dominion Office spokesman said: "We have nothing to say. The territory concerned belongs to New Zealand and it is for the Government to make an announcement if necessary, not for the British Government." Some interest has been aroused in England by the report and a statement by the New Zealand Government would be welcome.
