Plea for Consideration for Single Girls

Following is a letter written by a correspondent to a Wellington newspa"per. We think the sentiments expressed are very true. What do Rotorua girls think? I would ilke to draw attention to the selfishness of hundreds of. oui young men to our young unmarried women, writes this correspondent. Is it any wonder there are so many unmarried women who would be most happy to have children? One can count a numher- of young men who married overseas, also those who have married young widows who have had their day, and young divorced women who in many cases made a mess of their married life. It is not fair to 'the single girls. Many of these girls who are lefl worked hard in their spare time for our men overseas. The average young married tvoman whose husband was overseas had a good time and plenty of money to' spend. H she was unfortunate to be left a widow she soon married again. Is it because the second man thinks there will be plenty of money with her ;hrough her first husband's assets

'It looks very much like it. I think it is up to the men to give the single girls a chance. The young widow is provided fo'r, and her child or children if any. Let the divorced one take care of herself.
