Reading Circle

A pleasant afternoon was spent on Tuesday, December 3, by over 40 members of the afternoon and evening Reading Circles of the W'omen's Club at the home of Miss M. Mactier, Sunset Road. The visitors enjoyed roaming round the beautiful garden and later a competition to name the various trees, 36 in numher, was won by Miss E. Robinson. A second competition to guess the names of the authors of various poems and quotations was won by Mrs. E. Doust and Mrs. H. B. Goodman. A dainty afternoon tea served in the drawing room and garden was enjoyed by all. Mrs. II. Taylor eontrihuted several " musical items which were greatly appreciated. Before 'departure, Miss !E'. Robinson on behalf of all present, thanked Miss Mactier for the enjoyable and happy afternoon.
