Miss Nola Luxford to Visit Rotorua
ARRIYING NEXT WEEIC. Miss Nola Luxford, sponsor of the well known Anzac Club in New York during* the war years,,. is to make a short vi§it to Rotorua next week. Apart from the yeoman service that Miss Luxford rendered to Anzac servicemen through the medium of her club, she will also be remembered to most New Zealanders for her weekly broadcasts to the Dominion giving the folks at home some idea how their sons were faring in the United States. Miss Luxford will arrive in Rotorua on Wednesday, December 18, a*d on that evening will address members of the Travel Circle of the Women's •Club. On the Thursday morning she will visit the Services Convalescent Hospital, where she will he entertained by patients and members of the staff and at 2 p.m. will be accorded a mayoral reception. At 8.30 p.m. Miss Luxford will be entertained by the Maori people in the Tamatekapua meeting-house. At 3.30 o'clock the following day, Miss Luxford will he the guest of the R.S.A. at a function in Crowther House and she will leave again for Auckland on Sat-urday morning.
