ROTORUA BEATS NGONGOTAHA BY WIDE MARGIN IN WATT CUP WEEK-END MACHES A team from the Ngongotaha Tennis Club visited the Rotorua club's courts over the week-end and played a match against a "B" team in the Watt Cup series. The Rotofua players proved too strong on _ their own courts and emerged the winners by a wide margin. Following were the results, Rotorua club players' names being mentioned first in each case: — • Ladies' Singles Mrs. Burd beat Miss Jarlov 6-1, 6-2; Mrs. Robertson beat Miss J. Isdale 6-5, 6-2; Miss J. Wfnslade beat Miss B. Starr 6-3, 5-6, 6-3; Miss R. • Steele beat Miss R. Jarlov 6-0, 6-0. Men's iSingles Crawford beat W. Bailey 6-4, 6-2; Tregear beat J. Sealey 6-4, 6-5; Selby beat A. Young 6-4, 6-3; Anaru beat L. King, 6-1, 6-0. .Ladies' Doubles Mrs. Burd and Mrs. Robertson beat Misses Jarlov and Isdale 6-5, 6-2; Misses Winslade arid Steele beat Misses Starr and Jarlov 6-2, 6-4. JMien's Doubles iGrawford and Tregear lost to Bailey and Sealey 5-6, 6-0, 4-6. Selby and Anaru .beat Young and King, 6-2, 6-2. Mixed Doubles Crawford and Mrs. Burd beat Bailey and Miss Jarlov 6-0, 3-6, 6-1; Selby and Mrs. Robertson beat Sealey and Miss Starr 6-3, 3-6, 6-3;. Tregear and Miss Winslade beat Young and Miss Isdale 6-3, 6-3; Anaru and Miss Steele beat King and Miss r. Jarlov 6-2, 6-2.
