station homestead is burned down by Lightning

Sydney, Dec. 15. During a violent storm which, passed over New South Wales the station liomestead at Jerilderle, the property of the New Zealand and Australian Land Company, was set on fire by lightning, and destroyed. The damage is computed at £5000. A butter factory and a number of houses was unroofed at Harden. Trees were uprooted, gardens ruined, and poultry killed. Rain fell in torrents. In other districts the wheat crops have been severely damaged. Two valuable draught mares were killed by lightning at Corowa.
